Vortigo
Vortigo are plates made out of glass decorated with Urushi laquer, a traditional process in Japan. Traditionally, Urushi laquered products were the woody cups for meals and drinks, because is fine with alimentary products. Maruyoshi Kosaka is a krafts company able to treats the glass with Uruhi (website).
his decoration is obtained by touching the turning plate with the brush. The craftsman has to maintain exactly the same pressure to obtain a uniform texture.
